About the People's Library:
The People’s Library is a decentralized, community-driven model designed to provide access to essential resources without financial barriers. Our goal is to create local, parallel economies that empower communities through cooperation, shared access, and sustainability.
Fundraisers play a crucial role in connecting the vision of the People’s Library with the resources and supporters needed to bring it to life.
Role Overview:
The People’s Library is a bold vision—but like all world-changing ideas, it needs resources to take root. We’re looking for fundraisers who can help connect this vision with people, organizations, and funding sources that align with our values. Whether you’re a grant writer, major donor connector, or grassroots crowdfunding strategist, your skills can help build the foundation for a movement that redefines how we meet human needs.

- Develop compelling pitches, decks, or grant proposals to communicate the value of the People’s Library
- Help create a sustainable fundraising strategy that supports both outreach and local chapter development
- Support crowdfunding efforts by helping craft effective messaging and campaign structure
- Collaborate with video and storytelling teams to produce funder-ready materials
- Explore funding models that reflect the values of equity, cooperation, and access
Who We're Looking For:
- Fundraisers, development professionals, or passionate communicators with a knack for building relationships
- Grant writers or donor outreach specialists experienced in values-aligned work
- Strategic thinkers who understand how to scale a grassroots project with integrity
- People who are energized by building something meaningful from the ground up
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, evolving, non-hierarchical environment
- Deeply aligned with the vision of local, access-based, community-driven economies
What You’ll Gain:
- A unique opportunity to fund the early stages of a movement with global potential
- A chance to shape how this idea is communicated to potential supporters
- The satisfaction of connecting visionary work with the people who can help make it real
- Recognition on the website and in supporter-facing materials
- The joy of knowing you’re helping communities gain access to what they need—without market barriers
